| Submit your website to search engines. Let search engines know the existance of your website |
All major search engines are fully automated software. This software includes a program called as spider. This software will jump from Website to Website and add the info in its index. Most of the search engines find your new website automatically, if you have a link pointing to your new website from any other website which is already in its database.
But many a times you may find it useful if there was a facility to make you manually tell a search engine that you have put up a website. Yes this facility is certainly present in most of the search engines. The following list gives a small list of urls where in you can submit your website. This list also involves few directories the usefulness of which will be explained in later sections.
